Our Team
Muhammed “Mo” Marenah is the Founder and Executive Director of Kairo Link Foundation, a nonprofit serving youth in Charlotte, NC and The Gambia through structured football development, academic accountability, and mentorship.
Born in The Gambia and raised in the United States from age 11, Mo experienced firsthand how education, structure, and sport can transform opportunity. He went on to play college and semi-professional soccer before transitioning into coaching and youth development leadership.
Mo founded Kairo Link to address two critical gaps: the financial barriers created by the U.S. pay-to-play system and the lack of safe, structured advancement pathways for young athletes in The Gambia.
His leadership centers on removing barriers, protecting players, prioritizing academics, and building measurable systems that create long-term stability for athletes and their families.
Mo believes football is more than a game — it is preparation for life.
